Omnibus acquires BUSMAN

The long established BUSMAN computer scheduling system has been acquired by Omnibus Systems from Cap Gemini Ernst & Young UK plc. The deal includes all modules of BUSMAN, principally the Busplan, Crewplan and Roster programs. Maintenance of BUSMAN is also transferring to Omnibus Systems, with all existing BUSMAN clients being added to the already extensive Omnibus Systems' user base. One member of staff has also transferred to Omnibus Systems as part of the deal.

The acquisition of BUSMAN creates exciting opportunities to integrate it with the existing Omnibus Systems Schedules Office suite of products, which are market leaders in the U.K. Work is already underway on incorporating the Crewplan automatic crew scheduling programs into Schedules Office, with the Roster automatic roster compilation facility to follow shortly afterwards.
