TransXChange is a new UK standard for exchanging public transport
timetables and related data. It will be used both for Electronic Bus
Service Registration (EBSR) with VOSA (Vehicle and Operator Services
Agency) and the Traffic Area Network (TAN), and for the exchange of
timetables with other systems such as journey planners, including
those operated by Traveline, and real-time systems.
The Omnibus TransXChange Modules are a 3 in 1 system, developed to import/export and view all current versions of the standard, making the process as painless as possible. They are:
• TXC Importer - Imports TransXChange files into OmniTIMES to
create a database
• TXC Exporter - Takes timetables into
TransXChange formats, ready to be sent.
• TXC Viewer - Allows users to open and view TransXChange files
on-screen.
TransXChange Importer - Take TXC files
into OmniTIMES for editing TransXChange Exporter - Write
timetables into TXC format, ready for
sending TransXChange Viewer - Handy, stand alone
TXC viewer Simply works with OmniTIMES data to
produce results required by the schema
